Welcome to BestCardIn on YouTube — how we pick the best cards
An introduction to our channel and how we score every credit and debit card we cover.
Published · Duration 12 min
BestCardIn on YouTube is the video companion to our editorial site. Every week we publish long-form card reviews, head-to-head comparisons and short calculator walkthroughs in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
This first video introduces the channel and walks through the methodology behind every ranking we publish — same methodology, same source-first reporting, same two-editor sign-off as the written guides on bestcardin.com.

Welcome to the BestCardIn channel. I'm the editor in chief of bestcardin.com, an independent editorial site that publishes credit and debit card guides for Mexico, Colombia and Brazil.
If you found this channel through a search engine or through one of our written guides: the goal here is to make every recommendation we publish auditable on video, not just on the page. When we say a card is the best for cashback in Brazil, you should be able to watch a five-minute walkthrough of why it ranked first.
Here's how the channel is organized. Long-form videos every Monday — usually a single-card review or a head-to-head comparison. Mid-week we publish a short calculator walkthrough: how to read a CAT, how to estimate cashback ROI, how to evaluate a fee waiver. Friday is a news reaction segment when there's a rate change, a regulatory update or a meaningful program change in any of the three markets we cover.
Every video on this channel maps back to a written guide on bestcardin.com. The link is in the description and pinned in the comments, and the written guide always carries the most recent data — when a card's annual fee or cashback rate changes, the page updates the same day, and the video description gets a pinned correction.
Methodology, in two minutes: we score every card on five axes — cost (annual fee, interest rate, foreign transaction fee), rewards (earn rate, redemption flexibility, expiration policy), benefits (insurance, lounge access, statement credits), accessibility (income requirements, credit history requirements, application channel) and issuer (customer-service track record, app stability, branch coverage where it matters).
We don't take affiliate revenue from issuers. We take banner advertising and sponsored research from non-issuer brands, and that relationship is disclosed on every page and in every video description. Two editors sign off on every published recommendation. Corrections go live the same day they're verified, and the editor of record is named on the page and credited in the video.
Subscribe if you want one new long-form video per week and a couple of short calculator walkthroughs in between. Hit the link in the description for the full ranking that goes with this episode, and we'll see you in the next one.
